Award-winning independent development studio Bohemia Interactive is pleased to announce the release of the hotly anticipated demo for Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, a massive standalone expansion pack to the critically acclaimed military simulator Arma 2.

This 3GB demo thrusts you straight into the unique gameplay featured in the full version of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead; it showcases the realistic sandbox environment, offers multiplayer gameplay, and gives you a peek at the vast array of vehicles, weapons, units at your disposal.

The demo offers a massive amount of highly detailed content, giving you a sharp flavour of the epic new environment (modelled on real-world data), a full taste of the mission editor, and a real opportunity to experience the most authentic mil-sim available: war without the training wheels.

Bohemia Interactive CEO, Marek Spanel, described the demo as tantamount to a game in its own right: “This demo is huge. Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is not a simple expansion – it’s a massive extension of a living world for a passionate fan community. Our goal is to offer the chance to experience as much of the new and unique features as possible. To be honest, we believe that there is more fun to be had in this demo than in some full games; the editor alone enables a user to create hours of custom content.”

Set in the new, visually attractive environment of rugged Central Asia, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead offers a realistic combat simulation experience in a modern day setting with unprecedented freedom of movement, actions and tactics.
