Where’s Chris been all this time?
I wanted to update you guys on what’s been happening and why I’ve not been maintaining my blog for some time.
The short answer is simple ‘not enough time’
The long answer needs a bit more explaining but rather than bore you all with the intricate details, how about a summary!
- Working non-stop on some great App and Game ideas
- Travelling, I’ve been to New York to see clients, I’m off to the Isle of Man tomorrow to see more clients and also motorbikes fly around the famous road course at ridiculous speeds!
- Setting up a new company called Red Ninja Studios with a great bunch of friends.
So, what is Red Ninja Studios I hear you ask?
RNS is a creative technology company focusing on future tech, mobile app solutions, graphic design and games. The industry has changed so much over the past few years, that it’s no longer a simple matter of working for a publisher and remaining in a safe and secure job. Whilst their management get rich, the people working their socks off spend more and more time in the office and less time with their families and friends. So how do you go about fixing this small dilemma out?
You setup your own Studio with some friends, people who are on the same wave length and you utilise the tools that companies such as Apple and Google have created to bring a resurgence back into the independent development scene. One thing we’re going to do though is to take our time and release products which are high in quality and have the right hooks that are going to keep you guys entertained. It’s not about shot-gunning the market, hoping for something to stick, it’s about releasing the right products at the right time and most of all making sure it’s what your audience wants.
